5-30-1970 Breman, Germany, ‘Beat Club' TV/PRO@
Black Sabbath, Blue Suede Shoes.
Sabbath appeared live on this performance TV show. Season 1 Episode 55. This is the earliest known live footage of the band that we have available.
9-26-1970 Breman, Germany, ‘Beat Club’ TV/PRO@
Paranoid, Iron Man.
Here is Sabbath’s 2nd time on the show that. Season 1 Episode 59. Both of these are very easy to come by.
9-20-1970 The Netherlands, Holland, ‘Top Pop’ TV/PRO@
Paranoid.
Although known and released as a Belgium TV program, that is wrong. This is on the Story vol.1 VHS/DVD.

12-20-1970 Brussels, Belgium, Belgium TV’s ‘Pop Shop‘ TV/PRO@
Paranoid, Hand Of Doom, Rat Salad, Iron Man, Black Sabbath, N.I.B, Behind The Wall Of Sleep, War Pigs, Fairies Wear Boots. Plus backstage footage!
The films where edited into the program we know and shown on Belgium TV. Aired on RTB channel (Belgium tv channel french speaking) Then a master copy was produced to be broadcast on British TV by Yorkshire and Tyne Tees Television. It appeared on two 30-minute programs called ‘Rock of the Seventies' which aired on Friday nights one week after the other. There are shows from The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, and YES that was done this exact way too! And if you've seen them they have a lot of the same name credits at the end. Theatre 140 was set up to easily place cameras while the L' Olympia was not! For footage of YES at the Theatre 140 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eexMUM3RRHM you'll see the camera setup and angles look similar. As well as the stage does too! Also these shows were used on BBC Sounding Out in 1972. In recent years it came to be known that copies come from someone's personal beta tapes recorded back then. And from these original tapes comes a new remastered version with even better quality. Funny note to add is after new copies came from the tapes the beta player destroyed itself! This is the easiest Sabbath show to find and some of this (as Paris 1970) is on Sabbath Story Vol.1 & Oz’s Don’t Blame Me VHS/DVDs. This is used often on VH1, MTV & Muchmusic. All in all in trading I just call it ‘Rock of the Seventies’ aka Paris 1970.

About 2 minutes of silent black & white footage of Sabbath’s spot at this show was recorded by ABC’s GTK TV. It makes me wonder if more audio/video of this exist? Re-broadcast on Australian TV’s RAGE on January 13th, 2001 which someone had to record making it easy to find now. Note from Kevin Hall: (Some GTK footage in general has been showing up on RAGE (ABC1) lately. Will check it out. GTK - "Getting To Know" Early Australian (ABC) music show attempting to counterpoint the highly mainstream top of the pops "COUNTDOWN". GTK was actually very good with interviews and music that would never be shown on any other TV station in Aust.)

Silent but in color 8mm footage shot by Paul Valkhoff. Footage was bought by Reeling In The Years footage licensing. But I do have a snippet in my collection! The complete film clocks in at almost 6 minutes.
1970-1971 On Ozzy’s Don’t Blame Me VHS/DVD there is some silent 8MM footage of Sabbath live and just messing around. Part of it is from Toronto 1971 and has a different audience recorded audio over dubbed on it. Could there be more???
Update : Yes there is more as I've recently received a raw film transfer that's a couple minutes longer.
9-7-1972 Mississippi Memorial Coliseum, Jackson, MS AUD@
2 minutes of silent 8mm footage is all we have footage wise for VOLUME 4. Thanks to Larry Davis for filming this. He had this and forgot about it until 2001. He found it looking for footage he shot of the opening act and traded this for free.

CalJam on ABC’s In Concert TV/PRO@ War Pigs, Killing Yourself To Live, Paranoid, Children Of The Grave.
Sabbath Played along side such as Deep Purple & The Eagles at this huge music fest. Although the whole event was filmed only 4 songs from Sabbath have seen light. 2 segments of 'In Concert' showed these 4 songs. At first only Black & White version of this were out now we have full colored versions. Deep Purple has released their entire portion of the show on DVD and COTG was on Story Vol.1 VHS/DVD. Iommi said in a 1994 fanclub interview that the complete show does exist. He said the audio portion isn't too great and that's why it wasn't/hasn't been released. Recently some behind the scenes 8umm silent footage has came into the light. Then just in 2011 8mm of Tomorrow's Dreams also come to be known.

In turn made this easy to find. Some copies include the French guy who introduces the show for 'Musique'. Could the entire concert be in a vault somewhere?

8mm footage exist for these 4 shows but collectors bought them all up. They haven't shared this with anyone or offered an auction on them. I had a chance last year to track one down and did email and got a response. He said he’s sorry but he’s not gonna share. But I’m sure a copy or two have made it out before he bought the master tapes. A guy by the name of Steve Cowart owned the master reel of 1-30-1977 and sold it but I’m sure he had to keep a copy for himself. Also a guy by the name of Rich S. had been on the old Sabbathliveproject.com and Bootleg.org.com saying he had the 11-28-1976 show and described it. I asked about getting a copy but he also said NO! Snap shots of some of these have been passed around to prove they exist. So these are in ‘LIMITED’ hands.

Junior's Eyes, War Pigs
While Ozzy took a ‘break’ the guys hooked up with Savoy Brown & Fleetwood Mack singer Dave Walker. Some material that became the 'Never Say Die' album was recorded. To help promote the up coming album they appeared on this show and performed an early version of Junior's Eyes. War Pigs was done as a soundcheck and it may or may not have been recorded. But we know this footage exist because some of this was shown on a BBC show on Sabbath. Someone lucky enough had to have recorded it as there is a snapshot of it. But the entire audio portion is easy to find, check youtube. UPDATE: I do know of 3 persons who DO have this in full. As it was secretly copied from the BBC vaults. These 3 (I'd bet a dime on) have made copies for close friends!!!! Not saying they have thou!!!

The band Performed 'Never Say Die' on TOTPs a 2nd time which was extremely hard to find because it wasn’t re-aired until 2003. So you can thank the show BBC Gold for showing this clip after many years. But a slightly dis-colored version appeared on an unofficial Sabbath bio DVD ’Masters Of Reality’ in 2009. (I have a review of this on Amazon.com)
In November of 1978 Ozzy went missing in Texas before a gig. Frantic to find him the band and crew searched every bar in town. little was it known that he was asleep in a hotel room the whole time. The A&E Biography special and I Am Ozzy book goes into great detail on this night. Sabbath went so far as to have the local news report Ozzy as missing. But there isn't any known copies of these reports. I'd assume all it was is a picture of Ozzy and who ever the reporter is talking about it.
11-3-1978 Bayfront Center, ST. Petersberg, FL
