A bit of feedback distracts Tony Martin in the “Headless Cross” opener, but he bounces back quickly. Martin especially shines on the Dio era classics. But his real showcase during the HEADLESS CROSS tour was the new epic “When Death Calls”, which was clearly a standout track for the band. “WDC” allowed Martin to show off the dynamic range of his vocal abilities. This special night in Copenhagen ended with a very unique rendition of “Paranoid”. Tony Martin and Ian Gillan take turns on the verses and even sing together on a few parts. This is a soundoard recording of the opening show of the tour. 'Word of warning' Tony Martin had a throat infection thru most of the '94 tour. Hence he is struggling to get through the set. Some songs are painful to listen to, even though you know the guy is really giving them his all. He battles hard at the beginning of the show, but starts really losing his voice during Mob Rules. But its not a bad show to have. Also there is a audience recorded cd with the same track list and everything.
A fan's review: This was the opening
night of the CROSS PURPOSES world tour. It's quite a treat to finally be
able to hear this show from the stunningly clear soundboard recording. But
there IS some bad news for you. Tony Martin must have been very ill this
evening, for he is struggling in vain to get through the set. Some songs
are painful to listen to, even though you know the guy is really giving
them his all. Martin's inflamed vocal chords make sounds a bit like Dave
Walker during "Children Of The Sea"! He battles hard at the beginning of
the show, but starts really losing his voice during "Mob Rules". It almost
reminded me of those early shows with Glenn Hughes - ouch!
Musically, the show starts out well, but 1st night jitters eventually coax out some
minor, but embarassing mistakes (such as Martin's goof at the beginning of
"Symptom Of The Universe"). Definitely not a flattering opening night for
the Sabs.

Update: A 3rd complete audience Source is in trading. But is bad quality sounding. The best copy of this is the audience film. A fellow by the name of Kevin Julie says he taped this version. He once had a page on tapetrader.com but deleted it.

Excellent audience recording close to soundboard recording. At the end of 'Can't Get Close Enough', some technical problem occurs. Martin talks with the audience to help them wait, but they start shouting War Pigs! War-Pigs!. Bobby Rondinelli then plays a drum solo until the problem is solved. 'Black Sabbath' and 'Paranoid' sound especially good.

Here's a a fan's review: As far as the performance is concerned,
the band delivers a flawless show, very enthusiastic and heavy. Tony Iommi
shows himself quite inspired in his solos, possibly more than he had been
at earlier shows in the tour. Tony Martin's voice is in peak form as well.
It's also pleasant to hear that this very responsive Japanese audience
shared the enthusiasm of the band. Osaka ’95 very nice document of what
this line up was able to achieve onstage. This recording also has some
historical significance. This was Black Sabbath's last show in Japan to
date, the second to last show of the FORBIDDEN tour, as well as the second
to last show of the Iommi / Martin / Murray / Rondinelli / Nicholls line
up. More importantly, this show contains the sixth of the seven only known
live recordings of "Changes", and probably the best live performance of
this song ever. Tony Martin does a wonderful rendition of this rarely
played classic. Those of you who think Martin is just another 80's style
hair metal singer should listen to this recording and think again.

Time Machine, Children Of The Grave, Children Of The Sea, I Witness, The Mob Rules, Into The Void, Psychophobia, Black Sabbath, Neon Knights, Immaculate Deception, The Wizard, Cross Of Thorns, Symptom Of The Universe, Headless Cross, Paranoid.
Definitely not a flattering opening night for
the Sabs.

Some versions have added a radio ad from WPCR-FM advertising this show. I been told from other traders that this is either a good audience recording or from the 'un-circulated' proshot video.

Two sources for this. One is from the audience shot dvd and it's the complete one out of the two. Often has a local radio interview with Iommi. Martin says its good to be back in the states. This show is in Canada.
Update: A 3rd complete audience Source is in trading. But is bad quality sounding. The best copy of this is the audience film. A fellow by the name of Kevin Julie says he taped this version. He once had a page on tapetrader.com but deleted it.

Children Of The Grave (fades in), Neon Knights, The Shining, The Wizard, Get A Grip, Headless Cross, Rusty Angels, When Death Calls, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (incomplete).
This is a GREAT!!!!!!! show to have. Very awesome sound quality and performance. I'm not sure why I like this so much but I listen to it all the time. Some copies have a radio ad for Ozzmosis in the middle as this is from a FM broadcast.
10-18-1995 Mejeriet, Lund AUD
Children Of The Grave, Neon Knights, The Shining, The Wizard, Kiss Of Death, Headless Cross, Rusty Angels, When Death Calls, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Can't Get Close Enough, War Pigs, The Mob Rules, Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell, Iron Man, Paranoid
11-9-1995 Civic Hall, Wolverhampton, England

'Changes' was brought out of the closet.
12-14-1995 Phoebus Amphitheater, Bangkok, Thailand AUD
