4-28-1981 After Hours, Rochester, New York TV/PRO@
Host introduction, I Don't Know, Suicide Solution, Interview With Ozzy, Mr. Crowley, Crazy Train.
This really is a nice find, Ozzy promoting his first solo album on a New York public access tv show. Filmed in a very small TV studio. Very common show and all over youtube. The reason we have an excellent copy of this is it was given to Lifetime Television. For the making of Sharon's Intimate Portrait special. And it filtered out from there. Pieces appear in Oz's official releases Don't Blame Me, Down To Earth cdrom extra, and God Bless Ozzy. Also used on pretty much every TV bio program on Ozzy. Most recently this whole show was released on the Thirty Years After The Blizzard DVD. Rudy Sarzo commented how cheese and amateur the filming was. But looking back now their lucky to have this document of Randy playing. Funny thing is that I've looked all over for any other band's performance on this show. But I haven't found one yet.
2-5-1981 The Palladium, New York City, NY AUD@
I Don't Know, Crazy Train, Believer.
Silent footage with an audio recording of the show edited in. Shot from an elevated position with the whole band in view. Not too clear but very watchable. In fact this is credited as being one of the first bootlegs in trading outright.
5-2-1981 Palladium Theater, New York City, New York AUD@
I Don't Know, Crazy Train, Believer, Mr Crowley, Flying High Again, Revelation (Mother Earth), Steal Away (The Night), No Bone Movies, Suicide Solution, Iron Man, Paranoid.
Super-8 sound film camera capture. Each film cartridge contained 50 feet of stock, which captured just over 3 minutes of footage. You can see each reel of film ending when it goes white. Gained it's world premiere as part of the Thirty Years After The Blizzard DVD. The filmer captured this while in school and edited it with a professional system. This 34 minute treasure at first it was thought that it was proshot footage. Sharon Osbourne's remarks on this new film they found lead the thinking into that direction.
