Hi, I saw the footage of Ozzy in 1986 on Siegler's site that you provided a link to. The Tube wasn't a BBC programme, it was Channel 4 and the programme was filmed in Newcatle upon Tyne, actually about 5 minutes from where I live at the Tyne Tees TV studios on City Road. TTTV have now moved to Gateshead, but they should be able to help you out with dates etc if you were to write to them. One reason Ozzy would have played The Tube is that he played 2 shows in Newcastle in 86, one at the City Hall and 1 at The Mayfair Club, which has since been demolished I remember this as I attended both shows. It was free to get into The Tube and lots of bands played the show including Judas Priest.

1982 and presented in front of a live studio audience by Michael Aspel with co-hosts Danny Baker and Janet Street-Porter. Later presenters included former Page 3 model Samantha Fox and Mastermind champion Fred Housego. Intended as a light-hearted introduction to the weekend, the programme also featured a 15 minute news bulletin (Thames Weekend News) produced by Thames Television. Concern from the Independent Broadcasting Authority about the lack of a proper local news service at weekends forced LWT to introduce its own service of LWT News bulletins throughout the weekend in 1988 (the bulletins were produced originally by the news agency 'Screen News'). The Six O'Clock Show was axed around the same time and replaced by a smaller scale magazine show entitled Friday Now.
